Aztec Diving offers a Guiding Service for Cavern, Cave and Technical Diving. The Cenotes, Cave Systems and Reefs of the Riviera Maya are the most beautiful in the World. Puerto Aventuras is ideally situated to maximise the benefits of this wonderful location. The Guided Dive experience allows you to make the most of your time and maximise your diving experience. Steve your guide is a highly experienced Cave and Technical Instructor and Explorer intimately familiar with all of the dive sites. He will take you to the best locations many of which are very hard to find without local knowledge. He will act as a buddy for individual divers or guide to a group while providing information, maps and detailed dive plans to enhance your enjoyment and safety. We will arrange tanks, gas fills, and transportation to the dive site. We will provide on site emergency oxygen, first aid kit, spares/tool kit and cooler with bottled water. Steve will take you to the best locations many of which are very hard to find without local knowledge. We can arrange photo and video shoots of your dives to capture your adventure.  GUIDED CAVERN DIVING
Who can do this? Any certified open water diver with a recommended minimum of 10 dives. Taking part in a Guided Cavern Tour allows Open Water Divers to venture safely into the openings of the Cave Systems and discover a unique and magical world very few have ever seen. The Cenotes are the windows into an incredible underground aquifer. They provide ideal diving conditions which are unaffected by the weather. Filled with fresh water the visibility in the Cenotes averages over 100 feet! The minimum water temperature is a fairly constant 77F / 25C and average depths are only 35ft / 10m or shallower. Your tour will be a unique diving experience unlike anything you have done before. Prepare to discover the mysterious Halocline. See the breath taking beauty of the decorations and ambient light effects. Marvel as you glide through what was once living coral reef and ocean floor 65 million years ago and is now part of the underground river system of the Yucatan Peninsula.  GUIDED CAVE DIVING
The Riviera Maya offers the Worlds best recreational Cave diving. Why? The Cave Systems are awsomely decorated with a host of fragile and beautiful Speleothems. Geologically they are diverse and have an incredible history. They support a unique fauna and represent an important Scientific, archaeological and anthropological resource. Most are relatively shallow with maximum depths of 60-80ft / 18-25m and average depths of 30-40ft / 9-12m. This means your gas lasts longer so you have more time to enjoy the dive with little or no decompression obligation. The water is crystal clear with superb visibility in excess of 100 feet year round and is unaffected by weather conditions. It is also warm with minimum temperatures of 77F / 25C year round. There are amazing Halocline's present in many Systems. Very little current, low too no flow, so swimming is easy although it does demand good technique to prevent damage or silting. Easy accessibility to the vast majority of dive sites, scenic jungle settings and beautiful tranquil Cenotes. Multiple Cenotes in most Systems, allowing many different entry and exit points, so that you get to see more of each cave. Close proximity to over 50 different Cave Systems with more than 250 miles of explored and surveyed passages and many virgin Systems still awaiting discovery. This area is home to the Worlds 3 longest underwater Cave Systems, Ox Bel Ha, Nohoch Nah Chich and Dos Ojos So why hire a Cave Diving Guide?
